   Chess, 15 February, 1968 The Chess Friends of Northern California Open Championship, held in Berkeley on February 3-4, was won by James Ulrich with a score of 4.5-.5. The Chess Friends of Northern California Junior Championship, held at the same location and date, was won by David Amkraut with a score of 4-1.
