Mlotkowski, however, holds the California, or Pacific Coast, championship for 1923. At Los Angeles an enterprising firm has set out a 16-foot chessboard, under an awning, with pieces of corresponding size. Anyone may play; and we understand that beginners are allowed manual assistance in the castling operation. |
