BACL ROVING REPORTER - THE ALAMEDA CHESS CLUB

THE ALAMEDA CHESS CLUB is having its troublies but goes on just the same. The trouble is they don't have enough players though the cost is nil. The club meets at the McKinley Park, which is a public park, at Walnut and Buena Vista Streets, every Thursday night beginning at 8 p.m. Of course, the club is in Alameda. The likeable president of the little club is Les Talcott, but says Les, "I'm just a figurehead, the guy really behind it is Dal Ogilvie!" As it is Dal Ogilvie is the club's two duty man, secretary-treasurer.
