December 1972 (Rick Price, the highest rated club member with (1860), won the First Summer Rating Tournament.)

April-May 1973 (Barry Brandt won the Club Championship A section.)

May 1977 (Chris Mavreadis became the 1977 Fremont Chess Champion. Kenny Fong won the Fremont Annual Knockout Tournament by beating Robert Pellerin in the last round.)

June 1981 (Kenny Fong won both the Club Championship and the Ebony Rook Knock-out Tournament. The Fremont Team, composed of Martin Sullivan, Kerry Lawless, Kenny Fong, and Jon Wooley captured the perpetual trophy in the Premier Division of the Cal Chess Team Championship.)

July 1982 (Jeremy Silman (2556) drew Kenny Fong (2221) after 16 moves in the recent LERA tournament.)
